We want to automate a workflow so that some field is prompted when transitioning between states. For this we have thought to use the forms. Forms are currently only available for Jira Service Management, but ProForma Cloud can be used in Jira Software.
We have read that ProForma Cloud is going to be integrated into Jira Software Cloud and Jira Work Management. We have not seen any published dates on this integration in the Cloud Roadmap.
Is there any forecast of when it will be available?
Thanks
If you simply need to show a screen with a few fields (with no logic) you can always just add a transition screen.

Not just view a screen, but capture information to complete the issue

That's exactly what a transition screen is for.
It will pop-up a screen while transitioning and allow you to enter some details depending on what you've put on the transition screen.
(similar to a Resolution screen for example)

Proforma is already integrated on Jira as Forms (found on JSM project). I'm not aware that forms will be available on Software, whereas JWM has already forms, but not proforma. You can check here https://www.atlassian.com/roadmap/cloud?status=inTheWorks& to monitor for any updates.

Native ProForma-like capability is now available natively in Jira Cloud.

How? Where is this capability exposed in Jira Cloud in Software Projects?
I'm told that Proforma forms are now "In the issue" but I cannot find ANYTHING in my issues, issue schemes, in the Project settings, etc, that mention Forms or Proforma now that I'm in Cloud.

I'm running a free personal instance, and I can see it as a feature in a Team-Managed Software project:
That might be where it's exposed in Jira Cloud.
