How can I send out email notifications using a custom email

Hi everyone,

We are trying to come up with a way on Jira Server to send out project notifications with different emails.

For example, the facilities team has a portal and they want their notifications to be sent from their email.

Then we have the IT team and they want the same thing.

I know you can go into the notification scheme of the project and change the email but when I do that, the notifications don't send out. Ive also tried messing with the incoming mail settings and so far I haven't had any luck.

If anyone knows how to do this, I would really appreciate your help!

You need to write a custom email notification to achieve this functionality and need to use a 3rd party app for this. You can try with the Automation for Jira app.

Yeah, I know we can use automation for jira but recreating the notification schemes inside of AFJ isn't the best option so its really our last resort option.

I am hoping there is an OOB way to do this. I was able to achieve this in cloud but I am struggling in server.
