Hi, I want to add to the application form a field in which there will be a description of a couple of things - what priority to choose in a given situation . Unfortunately, the description under the fields is too short and there is no editing.
Is something like this possible?
I did not find a solution, maybe the text is too long. I added a shorter description to the priorities themselves
This doesn't solve the whole issue but for now its okay.
Thanks for your help
Hi @Stefan M ,
I am trying to determine exactly what you are referring to here. You mention "application form field". I am not familiar with that field if indeed you mean that literally. Possibly this is a short text custom field or maybe something else. Some questions for you that may allow me to better assist you...

When setting up a ticket, I need a field to tell the user what option to select in a given situation.
example :
Please select priority : <here priority selection field>.
Below text information
"if something is not working select the highest priority"
"if something else doesn't work select low priority"
etc etc

If the field already exists you can simply edit the help text. If it does not exist then create the custom field and edit the help text. You need to have the necessary admin permissions.

hi @Stefan M , I may be off target here but below is an example of where I associated your sample text with a custom text field I created. To accomplish this go to the field configuration find your field and select Edit.

Hi @Stefan M ,
sorry my input isn't helping. I must be missing your point. My example of the text field was just that, an example. You can edit the text presented under any field within the field configuration. I demonstrate the Priority field below. If this solution isn't what you look for I apologize but it is the only OOTB solution.

@Jack Brickey Please tell me how do you move to the next text line in description field ?
I cant do it ( when I press enter the whole field closes and the cursor does not move to a new paragraph) and this can solve my problem.

Hi @Stefan M , so that I am precisely aligned with you and can test it out please detail your exact steps. I want to be able to follow along. As an example here is what I did...

Based on your last response I am wondering if there is a browser conflict. Test with different browser and/or construct your text outside of browser then copy/paste into Description field.

@Jack Brickey Changing description field using ur instruction changes nothing on the form view.
I tried to add the description directly in the request form but there I can't move to a new line.
Copied text does not work either
As if only one line of text is possible.
I tried on two browsers. The situation is the same.
Using Jira Serive Management Cloud version.
