How to add an issue type to the Jira Software notification email

Hi, 

our users ask to have the issue type indication in the subject of the emails sent from Jira Software Cloud.

I do not see any controls to tweak for the purpose.

Please help.

Hi Inna,

Try using {{issue.issuetype}} or {{issue.issuetype.value}}

It would be in the Subject of your Automation Rule with the Send Email action. 

Can you share the rule that you have so far?

Not related to the rules. 

People are getting out of the box Jira notifications, like on assignment etc.

Oh, well you can't put custom fields in the out of the box notifications. You should vote for and follow this:

Also, this suggestion is for Jira Service Management and we need this in Jira Software Cloud.

Okay, let's start over. Have you created an automation rule yet to send the notification? If so, please share the rule here. And then let us know what is not working with it.

No, I'm not talking about an automation rule.

I'm asking about these emails:

These are all standard notifications that you cannot change. You would need to open a support request with Atlassian to request the feature change.
