How to allow editing of Affects Version in Service Desk Cloud

Dave_Innopharma April 23, 2018

For both customers creating a new service request and agents/admins editing the request, the "Affects Version" field appears but is greyed out and set to none:Screenshot_2.png

For the admin/Agent view, the option does not even appear:Screenshot_1.png

I have checked the multiple Questions/Answers on here and have not found a solution. I can confirm:

  • There are many versions associated with this project
  • I am admin
  • The screen scheme has "Affects Version" added to it
  • I have lost the link but one question stated that the screen scheme should be set to something similar to "simple edit". I do not have this option

Hello @Dave_Innopharma,

Can you please go to an impacted issue and click on Admin > Where is my field? then type "Affects Version/s":

Jira will run some basic checks to diagnose the issue. Wat does it tell you?

Hi Manon,

Thanks for the prompt reply. Please see the attached screenshots below. It has helped me to realise the problem:

We have an internal project "EyePASS" which is for dev team only and then the service desk "EyePASS-SD" to allow customers agents report issues. I had neglected in my own mind to separate the two projects; the versions are defined in the EyePASS project and not the EyePASS-SD.

Cheers,

Dave
