How to assign a project leader?

Project / Project Settings / Details.

In this section, there is a field at the end, named Assign by default to (I have the Spanish version, I think this could be the translation) There are just to options to assign: unassigned or project leader. How can I know who is the project leader in one project? And how can I change it?

You can find Project lead details in same section just above the "Default assignee" field.
