How to automate the rule?

Vandana Mandal September 10, 2024

Hi,

I have a query for the conditional given below:

I have a scrum of scrum board which is a parent project board(SSO). Under which I have 3 different boards as well. One for Product(SPE), one for engg(ENG) and one for QA(QAP).
Assuming the release version mentioned in the parent board (SSO) is given as Release Q3 2 and one of the child epic assuming QA(QAP) has the release version has same.
Now when the child epic's versions changes to Release Q4- 1, change the release version in the parent ticket to Release Q4- 1 and notify in the comment as " The release version got changed in this QAP-24.

Help me with the automation rule step.

Hello, Good day. If I understand correctly "Epic" issue type is child issue and you have a custom issue type which is "parent" to Epic issue type?

You can try following the rule. I have used the affects version, you can use Release version.

Hello, Good day. Make sure to add all required projects in the automation rule scope, this should help. Thanks
