How to capture the Issue Created Date to Target instance

Hi,

I have requirement which I am moving the issues from one Jira instance to another while doing the same I have mapped the field Created to Created in the Jira file from Target instance.

But after import i see that all the imported tickets are showing as current date which means if i imported 200 issues today it is showing today's date only but in Source instance that 200 issues are created different different dates.

Can i capture the exact date to target instance please help me out the same if possible in jira.

Have you checked the Time zone setting?

 

So overall steps are :

  1. When you export the issues from the source instance, include the "Created" field in the export.
  2. During the import process in the target instance, map the "Created" field from the source to the "Created" field in the target instance.
  3. Before you import the issues, make sure that the time zone settings in the target instance are the same as the time zone settings in the source instance. This will ensure that the dates and times are imported correctly.

The other way round is, you can save the created date in custom field and move that field to the destination instance.

Thanks for the response.

Here my Question is I have mapped the Created filed form Source to Created field from Target instance.

Please let me know how to check the Time zone settings.

and 2nd way how to save the Created date in custom field.

Please let me know the steps for the same.
