How to create a report with all Epics, child issues and status for a project?

How can I create an overview report to show progress of all Epics in my project with child issues (stories, features or tasks) for each Epic? I have seen some plug in options on the blog and user community but is there anything within JIRA that lets me do this ? Thanks!

Commenting to follow. We are trying to solve the same problem to inspect compliance with a process within our team. We can see Links (issues linked to Epic) but cannot see actual child issues in Issue Navigator for all Epics in our project.
