Hello,
We are using Jira to collect suggestions for our products from our colleagues. We enforced 4 mandatory fields : Use case, Suggested solution, Clients and Benefits. This fields are unlimited text fields with Wiki Style Render. Here is the result with the detail screen view :
We have two issues with this layout :
We are using Jira Cloud with a Business Project (used by Jira Core users) and new issue view.
Thank you and best regards
Hello Micaël,
Thank you for getting in touch with Atlassian Community!
Currently, the new issue view shows all custom fields on the right side of the ticket and it's possible to change the position only on the right side.
We have a feature request specifically for the text field:
Please, click on vote and watch to receive updates about the feature.
You can also find more features here.
Related to Wiki Style, it does not work because the new view uses markdown formatting now and not wiki markup.
You can find more information here: New Atlassian editor
"The editor in the new issue view uses markdown rather than wiki markup. Right now, if you've added wiki markup in the old editor, we'll render it correctly in the new issue view. As we continue to roll out the new issue view and new editor, wiki markup support will be phased out and eventually removed in favor of markdown"
If you have any other question, please let us know.
Regards,
Angélica
Hello,
Thank you for your quick reply. Some additional question : how can I enable or force markdown formating on default or custom fields in classic projects and next-gen projects ?

Hi Micaël,
It's not possible to force the formatting, currently, it applies only on the new issue view, but soon all screens on Jira will have Markdown.
Regards,
Angélica

This is such a mess...
Creating a new issue on the Kanban board requires I use Wiki syntax.
But once created, editing the same issue from the kanban board will use Markdown syntax.
What a joke
