How to make the status transition change automatically when a field is updated with certain value?

Hi,

I would like to make a status change to Done when the progress (custom field) reached 100% and the assignee should stay on the current assignee.

Any ideas on achieving this without the paid app in Jira Server?

without a plugin, as of my knowledge it’s not possible.

you may consider automation for jira plugin. By using this, you can achieve this. I tried this previously. 

Will explore, if any found I will post in the thread.

I have been using the Automation for Jira plugin but it seems that I cannot fix the actor as current assignee. Any idea on this?
