I have a small problem on a field ou jira sofware cloud.
when I make a basic filter, I cannot open the drop-down list of this filter.
if I switch to jql, it works, but it's not practical for users who want to make simple filters.
it is a "Select List (single choice)" type field with 2 values.
Have you ever had this problem. do you know where it could come from?
I found the problem.
This is a bug on drop down lists that have an apostrophe in the field name.
I renamed the field without apostrophe and it works.
thank you communicating the correct solution, have a good one!

Thank you for your answers
Yes, it is a custom field
the "context" mapping for that custom field is available in ALL issueTypes and Projects
And in JQL mode, i can query this field

Strange, I tried to replicate your problem and I was able to, it was the context for a field, like I explained in my comment below, can you provided a picture of the basic search? Thank you Melanie!

This is the first time I noticed this problem. We have other custom fields that work great with basic mode !

Does the current user have permissions to see that field or issues?

Hi Melanie,
a) You need to be sure that this field is NOT a locked field but instead a field created by you.
b) In case is a custom field, to show values in basic search view you have to make sure that the "context" mapping for that custom field is available in ALL issueTypes and Projects selected by the options in the basic search you are doing. Then you will be able to see the values.
Let me know how things go, and as Samuel pointed out, a Screenshot will help.
Cheers,
Nico.

Hello @Mélanie Liguet
Can you provide a screenshot(s) of what the filter looks like in the JQL view?
