Is it possible to add a custom field to a Service Desk Project

One of the most powerful feature in my opinion is to create and use custom fields. However I'm not sure whether this is possible at the project level...

I'm asking because I want to add some details at the project level (not issues level), details like: Contract link. Expected Start date, Expected Complete date, number of allocated development hours etc....

All of those data would valuable at project level so that we can monitor projects at a higher level.

Here is where I would love to see the fields appearing:

Projects/TopSecretProject/Project settings

Hello @Mohamed Zouaghi

Thank you for reaching out.

Unfortunately, it is not possible to add custom fields to Projects, however, we understand how this functionality would be useful.

That being said, we created the following feature request with our development team to allow this kind of customization in Projects:

Custom fields for Projects

Feel free to vote and watch the suggestion to increase its priority and also receive notifications about any updates.

As a workaround, you have the following options:

1 - Ude the own project description field to add the extra information you want

2 - Use a third-party app, like Profields - Jira Project Tracking

Please, feel free to check the comments of the feature request above for more workaround options and let us know if you have any questions.

Thanks for the suggestion @Petter Gonçalves, indeed, one of the features of Pofields is to add custom fields at a project level.

On the other hand, @Mohamed Zouaghi, in this community post, you can see the utility of these Project Properties or Custom Fields. And in this other blog post, you can see how we implemented it in a JSD and with the help of another app, we delegated to Jira users the ability to add values to select from a list field.
