Is it possible to remove the time stamp from a regular Date picker field ?

I am looking forward to remove the TIME STAMP from a Date picker field. I have tried and removed it from a scripted field, but don't know how to do it for a regular custom field.

Any thoughts or help is much appreciated. Thank you !

Actually Date picker doesnt contains time part. Do you mean Date time picker?

If you do, you cant do it. Better use Date picker field for this. And if you have scriptrunner, you can create new field and write script that will copy data from old field to new field for all issues.
