Is it possible to trace a deleted issue/task back to the story point?

Hartej Arora July 5, 2018

In case a Jira user accidentally deletes tasks from an ongoing project, is it possible for Jira admin to trace back to what story point the issue(s) were associated with originally?

Does Jira retain any log/ information post deletion?

Thanks!

No. Deleted is deleted. Even if you know the issue ID it won't pull anything up. Many seasoned JIRA users don't allow deleting issues. I use a resolution code of 'Deleted'.  The forum is full of people desperately wanting to restore or link to deleted issues.

Hello,

If an issue is deleted, then all data for the issue are deleted. You should use a backup to see info about a deleted issue.
