We have set up a Slack webhook and I have pasted it into the correct field but I keep getting an error: Provided URL is not present in Jira allowlist or request from anonymous users is not enabled. The Webhook URL field will not take the URL being copied and pasted into it.
Instead, Slack Channel we set up shows up in the dropdown but even selecting it gives an error (as shown below). I've also added the URL (as exact match) and the Slack Channel (as regular expression) in the Jira Allowlist, allowing anonymous users for both, but still get the same error.
Has anyone experienced this issue?
I had a similar problem after a Jira Upgrade. I just turned off the A4J allowlist, but you should check with your System admin.
If you need more information: https://confluence.atlassian.com/automationkb/automation-rules-fail-to-run-or-can-t-be-enabled-edited-due-to-the-error-provided-url-is-not-present-in-jira-allowlist-or-request-from-anonymous-users-is-not-enabled-1289424145.html
I hope that helps.
Cheers,
Melo
@Melo thanks for the suggestion. I turned off the AllowList in the Automation Global Configuration and my automation rule actually runs now. However, I have a new error which I'm trying to track down. So no Slack message sent yet but I'm further into the process.

I re-added our webhook at the project level. It was originally added at the Global level. I was just able to successfully send our first Slack message.
