Jira Automation: Ask users to comment for every update on the issue

Hello,

I'm creating a rule for my team. 

I want to create a habit of updating the comments, every time, there is a change in field values of the issue.

Ex: If user changes the status or update the due date etc.., I want the user to update in comments about the same with reasoning.

How can this be accomplished? Kindly help.

Hi @Neeraj Patil 

I think it is a bit too much work for the users. Updating the issue field values itself should be self explanatory however for some fields I agree it might be necessary for compliance purpose or audit. What you can do is - identify those fields, remove from the edit screen and add to the transition screen where comment field is anyways displayed.

So use transition screens and workflows to do achieve this but definitely not for all the changes to an issue.

Thanks @Ravi Sagar _Sparxsys_ Let me try this.  Do we have a separate settings for Transition screen items?  or Where can I find that?
