Hi all,
we are using Jira Service Management and Jira Software and use the sandbox internally to test bigger changes before implementing on production.
As currently multiple sandboxes is not possible we are thinking about a second instance (minimum amount of users) to be able to share it with consultants that could help us implementing Jira projects and may not have access to our production environment (and currently also not to our test environment). The idea is to import single projects to the second instance and delete all critical content.
Is anyone using a second instance as kind of a development environment or are you just using sandbox?
What would be pros and cons for sandbox respective second instance?
Regards
Marc
One of the cons of secondary instances is that you will have to pay for those, whereas you don't have to pay for sandboxes.
Also, sandboxes and their primary instances can be synched easily where synch a second instance is not so easy.
Can you explain how this sync the primary instance with the sandbox or vice?
thank you so much in advance!

The Sandbox documentation explains how you can copy data from your production instance to your Sandbox.
