Pass value from child issue to parent issue after field updated.

Hi,

Could some one help me with my automation?

I want to update the "fix version" field in the parent issue to the same value as the child issue when a child issue made that change.

Example:

Trigger: Child issue update to fix version 27.5.

Condition: make sure this trigger only happen in the NPE project.

Result: parent issue fix version updated to 27.5

Log shows that the automation never made it pass the if condition:

Additional Info:

I have another automation where if a release is created in the NPE project, then the same release version will be created in another project. The If condition is the exact same as this one, but there are no issues with the other automation.

Any help is appreciated it.

Thanks,

Garret

Hi @Garret Zhang

you can simplify the "if condition" and don't have to use smart value. Just select from the dropdown as seen below.

It worked!

I wonder why smart value worked in one automation but not the other. No matter, thank you! :)
