Hello;
I want to trigger an automation rule manually to scan all issues in the active sprint to check its fields values and update them accordingly
I created a manually triggered automation rule , and added For All Issues in the Sprint
I didn't know how and from where I can run it!!!
I tried running it from a subtask or a story within the concerned sprint... but I got this error:
Action details:
This rule was configured with a project restriction.
You can change this restriction in the 'Rule details' section.
Only issues from the following projects or project types will be considered:WAK
Branch rule / related issues
Can't branch rule as it requires a sprint in the context for this option.
More than likely you have a trigger that isn't sprint related.
kindly help,
best regards;
Ibrahim
When you want to run a rule on a set of issues, one by one, and do not yet have a triggering event (e.g. sprint completed), you can work-around this by:

Your solution worked perfectly for me @Bill Sheboy ... I was struggling to find a way to apply a rule to multiple issues at the same time. Your idea with "issue commented" was game changer. thank you so much.f

Hi Ibrahim,
Can you share the filter that is used in the board and also the actual details of your automation rule?

Hi @Ibrahim Ghalghay - For your branch to work, you'll need to use one of the Sprint triggers - either Sprint created, Sprint started, or Sprint completed. This is because without a sprint trigger, your Automation rule can't know which sprint to look into.
Hope that helps!
