Dear JIRA Cloud Team,
I am designing customer service request forms for our project and want to integrate my SQL database with JIRA Service Management forms. With multiple request types and workflows in place, this integration could enhance data management and streamline our processes.
Could you advise on the best approach to achieve this? Are there any recommended tools or plugins? Additionally, please share any prerequisites or best practices.
Looking forward to your guidance.
Regards,
Amrita
@aik8kor Try Elements Connect!
It is the most widely used app to integrate data from external sources to Jira issues. It does support SQL databases, as well.
Hi @Aron Gombas _Midori_ thank you for your message! Unfortunately, Elements Connect is not yet compatible with Jira Service Management forms. However, as we continuously enhance the app, we recommend keeping an eye on future updates! 🚀
Best regards!
Maëlle, Elements Connect Product Marketing Manager

Hi @aik8kor welcome to the Atlassian Community
This community forum is the place to receive answers to regular Jira user questions. The answers written here are from fellow user enthusiasts.
To me, your question seems pretty high-level, digging deep into the computer code that defines Jira, as you require a guideline that is in sync with the lines of thought when Jira was conceptualized and built.
I think it would be best to reach out to Atlassian Support. to get your query into the spotlight it deserves.
Kind regards,
Dick
