Hi,
in our Software project we are using a multi-user customfield for "additional assignees".
I'd like to send an e-mail to any new user in the "additional assignee" field as soon as he is added to the issue. I'd like to use Automation for Jira for this - but I can't find a way to separate the new "additional assignees" from the already existing "additional assignees" (that were added to the field before).
Example:
The field "additional assignees" already contains John and Julia --> now Andrea is added to the custom field as well. As soon as Andrea is added, I'd like to send her an E-Mail with all the relevant information (but not to John and Julia, who already received the mail at an earlier step).
Does anyone have an idea on how to solve this?
Best regards,
Rebecca
@Rebecca users are added to multiuser picker fields once they are added to the application and granted a license.
As this is the case, I would expect that here, it would be okay to send the email once the user is created.
Or do you mean only when the user is added as an additional assignee to an issue?
Help clarify this point.

@Ismael Jimoh the users already have a licence and project access - I just want to add them as additional assignees to the issue.

Ah thanks for the clarification.
I am not sure this is possible as I’m not aware of a field value difference function in automation for jira.
A work around would be using a second field that contains only new users you want to notify and then you send the notification to users in this field.
Let me know what you think.
I will also still research the field value difference to see if this possible.
