Hi! Second question on here.
When I generated my monthly timesheet for a project, I noticed that my 'bug' issue-type tickets were being added into the 'Billed' column. We don't bill bug tickets to our clients, only stories.
I can't seem to be able to filter out bugs, or set it up so it doesn't bill for bug tickets. Is there any way to do this? My temporary fix was to click each timelog and adjust it so the 'Billed' time was 0h instead of the pre-populated 'Work' time. But that wasn't the easiest thing to do.
Hi Cathline,
viewing worklogs on Issues of a Project, but exclude the Bug type Issues, can be done by using a JIRA filter.
Create and save a filter based on the Project that does not include issues of type Bug. You can then select to view this filter in the Tempo Custom report (select Filter and filter by JIRA Filters).
You can also use the Tempo Accounts for this.
Link the Project to two Accounts, one that is billable and the other one operational. You can then set the operational Accounts on Issues of type "Bug" and the billed one on all the other issues in the Project (see also https://support.tempo.io/hc/en-us/articles/115009001527-Using-accounts-to-track-hours-in-issues-and-worklogs)
You can then use the Account Reports to view the worklogs that are billable / operational.

Thanks for your feedback @Susanne Götz _Tempo_. So I made the two accounts - Billable and Non-Billable. How do I assign an issue type to an account?

The Account needs to be set on the Issue (it is not possible to connect this directly to an issue type) .
Make sure that the Account custom field is set on the Screens used by the Project.
Link the Acccounts to the Project (select the Project, Settings, Accounts, search for the Accounts and add them)
Then go to Issue search and filter by Project and issue type "Bug". Bulk edit the Issues (edit and select to change the Account field to show the non-billable Account).
Do the same for all other issues (that need to be billed) and bulk edit them to show the billed Account.
Regards,
Susanne
