Hi everyone,
I'm not currently able to add an existing user to the "Site Admins" group because:
You've reached the maximum number of users for your plan. To add this user, upgrade your plan.
But, as far as I can tell we are nowhere near the limit for any of our subscriptions. Has anyone experienced this issue before, or have any ideas about how to resolve it?
Hi @Jason Gray I had a similar problem before. In which I had standard plans for Jira and Confluence but the environment did also have a free plan for opsgenie so when trying to add a site admin, it was trying to grant access to opsgenie as well and since it was already at the limit of users, we were unable to add more site admins to the environment without paying for opsgenie.
Maybe it's a similar case here
Hi @Hernan Halabi - Elite IT Consulting Group
This could be it! We do use Opsgenie and I do remember us having some kind of issue with our OpsGenia admins before as well. I'll do some more digging into Opsgenie specifically.
Did you resolve your issue?
Thanks,
Jason

The solution in theory was to pay for opsgenie and customer certainly didn't want that. I solved my problem without needing to add an extra site admin so didn't have to dig further. I'm not so sure there are options to overcome this more than paying

That's great, thanks @Hernan Halabi - Elite IT Consulting Group
For future reference, we did have a paid plan with Opsgenie but we had used all of the Opsgenie licenses we had available so our solution:
1. Increase number of users in Opsgenie plan
2. Add user as an Opsgenie user
3. Add user to "Site Admins" group in jira user management.

Hi Jason, are you on a Free plan or standard plan? How many users do you currently have (admin > billing > manage subscriptions)?

Hi Jack,
We've just recently signed up for Jira premium and we currently have 88 users.
Thanks,
Jason

Hi @Jason Gray
Not had that issue before - but I think the best way to resolve would be to reach out to Atlassian and see if they have any billing issues on your account.
