When I add a custom field on Jira issue View screen only, that field is not visible on issue view.
When I add the same field on Edit screen, then only its getting visible on ticket view.
But I need to make the field Readonly, hence I dont wanna configure on Edit screen.
This is for Jira Software Company Managed project.
Can someone throw some light here please.

I want to understand whether you have used same screen for create/view/edit screen?
did you configure the issue layout and show the field on the context area?

Have you associated the custom field with the View Only screen yet? I would recommend checking the field association to see where the new field gets displayed.
