Some of our team members, including myself are only sometimes not receiving notification emails when mentioned in a Jira, or when following a Jira. Not understanding why receiving some and not receiving some.
Thank you for the response @Gustav L'Estrade
However, I am not receiving the emails at all. I seem to be only receiving about 80% of the notification emails when I'm tagged in Jiras. I have checked spam, junk, etc.
I see.
The notification scheme controls who gets what notification, this means IF you would not get any notifications at all, this would be the place to look. However, since you are receiving SOME emails, i would suggest to look into the email server (either its setup itself or how it talks to Jira). Reason being that Jira seems to be sending the notifications but somehow not always being delivered correctly. The last possible reason could be the project's security scheme or permission. If your are mentioned in an issue that is restricted for you, the notification should not be sent.
My suggestion is to talk to your Jira Admins, since they should know how it is set up!
Good luck!

Jira has the functionality to batch outgoing email, in other words to only send emails to users once an hour or alike. Then all information comes in one single email. This is functionality to make users not get spammed by the notifications. In reality this means that some emails will not get sent immediately since it waits for the batch to be sent.
Could this be the thing you are experiencing?
Hope this helps!
