i want to associate custom field to all new projects by default

Hello Team,

I am new to JIRA,

we are creating projects using REST API IN JIRA. we are using custom fields in the project.

while i create a project in JIRA i needs to add custom field to various project manually.

is there any way to associate it automatically?

Hi Yashesh,

One way to do it  is to:

• Copy default screen to for instance Default Screen 2
• Every time that you create a new custom field then assosiat it to the Default 2 screen
• Make sure that the new projects are using Default Screen 2

If you are using JIRA 7 or above and the new projects are similar (workflow, issue types, etc) then you could create new projects using "Shared Configuration" and have one as template which has the Default Screen 2
