Is there some sort of out of office functionality in Jira? In case of assigning a ticket to someone who's on summer vacation, or parental leave for example. Could this either be notified to the reporter somehow?
Could you set up temporary substitutions on a user? Not in cloud.

Unfortunately, there is no native out of office functionality in Jira. However, you can look for options in the Atlassian Marketplace.
