Hi All,
I am getting the error - "ug is not a valid user" while adding some practitioners as admins to Jira Board.
Please Note : This error is showing only for some users , and not for all users.
Can someone please help me with the resolution or reason for this issue?

The error seems straight forward. The username is incorrect or does not have a valid license.
I had asked the user to change the username to his/her real name, but the issue still persists

What is the name of the user in the system. Look at his user profile and try adding the username

I tried with the username only, and could see in the list while typing in Board admin type box. But giving this error and gets moved from the admin section

For my experience for Jira Software Cloud, if you log into that account temporarily and see if that particular account can create a board. If you can't, you are most likely going to get a

Same issue on my side since a few days, I have created a new user who is configured the same way as the other administrators of the board and the problem persists. Have you already created a support ticket?

This affects new users like in your case. Unfortunately there is no current workaround available for this.
