Hi,

Is there a way to setup a notification to alert certain users that a change has been modified since it has been approved?

i.e. after change management approval have signed off the ticket, the user then goes into the ticket and changes the steps etc.

Once we are notified that a change ticket has been modified we can then set this ticket (or automate) back to authorize state in order to be reviewed again by CAB.

Hi @Katie.Reel ,

Based on what you've described, I'd say that Notification Assistant for Jira might be an alternative for you to reach out your goal:

It might help you with the use case you've shared.
Hope it helps.
Cheers,

Hi @Katie.Reel and welcome to the community!

The most straightforward approach would be using Jira automation.  Depending upon your business logic, you can go with something like this as a simple start:

  • TRIGGER: Depends upon your business logic:
    • Field Value Changed: I would use this if you only want to track changes to specific fields
    • Issue Updated: If you want any type of change to trigger the rule which I would step into cautiously
  • CONDITION: Status = Approved
  • ACTION: Transition Issue
  • ACTION: Notification method(s) of choice
    • Comment
    • Send Email
    • Send Slack
    • Send Teams

Again, this is a start. You can get more complex depending upon needs.
