I had everything running for a while without issue. Then I shut it down after 6 months as we didn't need it anymore. Now we need it again, so I fired it up. I wanted to start from scratch so I purged the database. This was successful and reinstalled and reconfigured everything in Jira.
However, when I go to the applications tab and click install Service Desk, it doesn't work with a cryptic error and says "see logs". However, when I go to the logs, there aren't any errors. Googling my issue yielded me no results.
Frustrated, I scrapped the whole install, deployed a new VM with a fresh install of windows, reinstalled jira from scratch, set up a new database, and configured everything. And it worked, service desk was installed, i was working on configuring it when it just blew up. It somehow uninstalled service desk, and when I attempted to reinstall, came up with the same cryptic error. On a whole new environment. Absolutely nothing was shared except the base installer and product key. The installer doesn't seem to be the issue since it worked as it should have, however then it somehow synced to the old system and broke it all.
I have also tried manually uploading service desk install as per some other posts suggesting. I also have increased the memory. I have zero plugins and have always had zero plugins. The only reason I know something synced was because I made a change in the origional install, and when that appeared in the fresh install, everything stopped working.
I'm frustrated, i've spent all day on this. I don't know where else to turn.
