Hi
I am installing Jira service desk and wondering if there is a way of changing the Home directory ( /var/atlassian/jira) during the install?
Or can this only be done post install?
Hi @James,
if Jira is started (meaning you can access the installer at http://IP:8080), then you will not be able to change the Home Directory as the change needs to be done when Jira is stopped.
You can see here how to change this setting on your instance.
Let me know if you have any questions,

Hi
I've figured it out.
It's a fresh stand alone install, just needed to do the custom install, instead of default.

HI @James
can i ask,...
1. Is this is a fresh Jira and JSD installation?
2. Jira has been already installed? if so then just install a JSD addon to it while going into Version and License.
3. Do you want to install JSD separate from Jira?if so then why you need to change the Jira Home directory path?
