I  was wondering  whether atlassian  could consider supporting  Mac OS X server   operating  system  for the atlassian stack.

@Moses ThomasNo they can't. I've configured this and you don't really want to do it yourself. I suppose it's quite hard supporting such kind of setup as a developer.

What's your reason for thinking about this?

In case it's you're feeling unfamiliar with Linux / Windows administration get yourself a hosted solution from one of the many Atlassian Consultant Companies out there or get your instance into the Atlassian Cloud.

@informatikusThank  you for the response,  in fact i am keen to Unix/Linux more  than  Windows OS,  but  guys who  feel   relaxed with  Mac OS X and are not interested in  Atlassian cloud instance  or other operating  system will be more happy to manage the Atlassian  stack in  this operating system. But as you  said, this could be complex  from  the developers  point of view.

I don't think they will.  Cloud is a set of services running on Atlassian servers, the server and DC versions are run on servers.  Most of the world simply does not use Macs for servers, so 99.999% of the market is going to be either for Linux server, or legacy Windows ones (Given Windows is now running on less than 13% of the devices in the world and most of those are consoles or client machines, I tend to describe it as legacy)
