Backstory
We are a Cloud Based SAAS Multi Tenant platform. Once every 4 weeks we copy our Production Database and we copy it to 2 environments [Staging and ProdMirror] (for the beginning of our UAT period which is 2 weeks prior to our release) - This day is called "UAT Day 0".
In addition to copying down the databases to Staging and Prod Mirror we do a code push to Staging and Integration environments (for our customers to begin testing the latest RC)
On UAT Day 0, there are about 25 various tasks that need to be done. I am looking to automate the creation of these tasks via our current tools and not looking to install any additional tools for example (Deep Close for Jira) as the cost of these tools will outweigh the benefit.
We currently use Asana for these tasks (attached), but it would be great if we can move this into JIRA.
We are already a jira premium customer and I have about 100 automation rules running so I am pretty familiar with the Automation for Jira tool.
My idea is for each time we need to do this, to create an EPIC and have all of the tasks populated with each epic. I am just beginning on thinking about how to do this, and I am curious to hear other people's experience with similar tasks.
@Jeffrey Bistrong This sounds quite feasible. Did you try setting this up already?
