A user will modify their Name or Email. When the user logs out and logs back in again (via LDAP authentication), the modifications are overwritten and Name and Email revert back to their original state.
We are on Jira 5.0.
Thanks for your help.
Hi,
It seems that you are currently using "Internal Directory with LDAP Authentication" which doesn't have the ability to write into your LDAP server, hence all the changes done on your user profile will revert back to value stored in LDAP when the user log-in again since Confluence will retrieve the user information when the user log-in.
You might want to use this method that would allow you to set the "Permission Setting" for your directory configuration.
Hope it helps.
Cheers,

Hi there,
it seems to be that you have chose the option to have "Read/Write Rights" on your LDAP in JIRA,
but your LDAP-User has only "Read-Rights" in your Active Directory.

Wilhelm
