Unable to receive email notifications from JIRA, because hyphen in last name

Hello,

We have a user unable to receive any notifications from Jira, because of a hyphen in their last name: i.e. "John.Smith-Daniels@noemail.com"

Is this a bug? or is there is solution that we're unable to locate? Please help!! Thanks

Hi,

Are you seeing errors in the Jira logs? If so, could you attach the error messages here? And if not, what else makes you think this is a issue with Jira?
