Despite being granted the permissions below:
jira-system-administrators
site-admins
We are unable to even view the option to enable Public Sign Up on our JIRA On-Demand (v6.5-OD-07-005), or Service Desk (v2.6.0-OD-02)?
Firstly, within JIRA On-Demand, there is no "Mode" option within Administration --> System --> General Configuration --> Settings --> General Settings. I believe if present it should be set to "Public", but there is no "Mode" option present at all?
Secondly, there is no option within JIRA Administration --> Add-ons --> JIRA Service Desk --> Configuration to enable Public Signup. As above, the option is not even present, let alone not enabled?
Finaly, there is also no Customers option within Service Desk --> People
I have repeatedly altered my users permissions to assign JIRA Adminstrators Global Permissions, but still the options are not enabled and the same goes for our main JIRA administrator onsite
Would greatly appreciate any help here as lost as to the problem? Assume it's permissions based, but we're struggling to assign the precise permission required (if it is a permissions problem).
Hi @Amy Darling - I did not receive a response, but from looking into this further myself, my understanding is that the option to enable Public Sign Up is only available to a platform that is on the Agent Based Pricing (ABP) model:
https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/JIRAKB/Public+signup+setting+is+missing
To determine what licensing model you are on, you can check you add-ons or (from Atlassian) "Note: You can easily tell if you're using 1.0 licensing by checking your SEN information in my.atlassian.com. If the your SEN information mentions "users," you are using 1.0 licensing. If you instead see "agents," you're using 2.0 licensing."
