Upgrading License

This is a critical question that will affect management decision to buy JIRA.

if we bought 100 users now – 4,000 $ and later we required to upgrade into unlimited users it can be done by paying 4,000 $ more.

Hi, to upgrade from 100 users to unlimited users it would be $4000 for the initial license for 100 users and then $6000 to upgrade the license for unlimited users. Details of license upgrades are available at http://www.atlassian.com/licensing/jira#downloadlicenses-3. Hope that helps, Andrew.

Andrew is spot-on - however I just wanted to clarify that we are talking about the same product / service. The info quoted above is for the download version of JIRA (aka you are hosting it locally). There can be a bit of confusion with pricing for the hosted version vs. the download version.
