Use Automation to Set Issue Due Date to Next Unchecked Checklist Item Date

I'm trying to update the Issue Due Date based on the next unchecked Checklist Item due date (Hero Coders Checklist for Jira).

This will allow easy visibility from the board view of when the next step needs to be completed.

I'd also be fine using the name of a checklist item to pull it's due date to update the Issue Due Date.

For Example:

1. Before
   
   1. Issue Due Date: 8/17
   2. Checklist:
      1. [ ] Design - 8/18
      2. [ ] Review - 8/25
2. After
   1. Issue Due Date: 8/25
      1. Checklist:
         1. [X] Design - 8/18
         2. [ ] Review - 8/25

my name is Gracjan and I'm Customer Success Expert here, at HeroCoders, the team behind our Issue Checklist for Jira app.

You can retrieve the data from the Checklist items using the Checklist Text custom field.

It is in an unformatted raw text, so it might be quite hard to pull the specific due date from the checklist item. Were you able to achieve this already, or do you have something pre-configured that you tried?
