We are looking to automate the creation of an issue in project B triggered by the creation of a version in project A.  The automation editor seems to allow this trigger.  We want to use the name and description of the triggering release in the resulting ticket created.  The automation does not run, complaining that the "description" and "name" for (triggering) issue cannot be found.  How to solve this?

Hi @Bastian Schoell and welcome to the community.

  • as the trigger in this case is a version and not a common issue type the correct smart value is {{version.field/property}}
  • also please make sure to configure the scope of the rule (as there should be created in another project the rule need to be a multi project or gobal rule)

Hope this helps. Please let us know if there are any further questions.

Best
Stefan
