What should be the nest status of a Failed on Qa Ticket ?

As a QA when any ticket failed I changed the status to " QA failed" and after that, the ticket status become " In progress" this my company workflow. to me, it's little confusing so I wonder there can be a different status after ticket failed on QA test. Can we see "Failed" instead of 'In progress" and also my much it will be logical to have that instead of current one?

Yes . You can ask your jira administrator to create a new status called "Failed" and create new transition accordingly.
