Why are deleted custom field descriptions still appearing on a transition form?

I deleted the Description in many custom fields, but the deleted Description is still appearing under the fields in a transition screen the next day.

I found a post that explains it.  I'll try to find the web page for enhancement requests and request that if I delete the field Description, the Description is also deleted in the field configuration.
