Hi.
There is my situation: we lead jira-based product, and at some points we need to engage a supplier (not form our organizations) to work on an issue. So we need to rescrict his view to assigned to him issues only (and there will be other issues on the porject, and other suppliers).
So eac supplier must be allowesd to see anly assigned to him issues.
Also there is a limit of agents to consider.
Can that be done?
Is there any JIRA-build in functionality, that allows it?
Or may be some plugin? Or is there any trustworthy plugin?
Sp far I found just this https://marketplace.atlassian.com/plugins/at.celix.jira.plugins.zones/server/overview
Thanks in advance.
Hi,
You should modify your permission scheme.
1- add "current assignee" in the browse projects permission"
2- make sure that the role given to your suppliers does not have the browse projects permission
Thanks for the reply, Mathieu, that might be my solution.
The thing is, I dont quite understand:
which role should be given to supplier, so that he could view and work on issues assigned to him, but couldn't view the rest of the issues (and the project as a whole).

Oh, I see now. I don't give them permission access the project in general, but they have these access when they are assingned an issue (that is, current assignee can browse the project).
Thanks! I am going to try that.
