Is there a way to set a custom URL for the Customer Portal of JIRA Service Desk (while the creation of the project or afterwards). We are looking for anything less predictable than a sequence number yy at this end of the URL like http://xxx.xxx.xxx.xx:8080/servicedesk/customer/yy/.
The reasons for that is that we have many projects that are open to public sign up and we don't want Internet users to access other Customer Portals "easily".
We are using JIRA v6.3.12 and Service Desk plugin 2.2.0
Maybe, my another question https://answers.atlassian.com/questions/32970687 might help you.
Thank you,
TASH
I got this problem before and I found that there's no way to alter that "sequential numbering" in the JIRA issue. You can certainly change the format (regex), but the number will always be consecutive. What I did with one of my projects is to create a custom facing portal that reference tickets with "reference IDs" which is matched 1-to-1 with a JIRA issue.

I am not sure if I understood your answer. However, I just want to mention that I am not talking about the sequence number of issues but the sequence number in the URL of the Customer Portal. I want to change that URL to something like : http://xxx.xxx.xxx.xx:8080/servicedesk/customer/portal/<random_characters_or_at_least_the_project_key>/ instead of : http://xxx.xxx.xxx.xx:8080/servicedesk/customer/portal/3/

As mentioned, there is no way to change the number part, just the text part.

Thanks for your feedback. For the text part, can I make a different text for every project ? You understood my goal, once again, I don't want Internet users to jump to other Customer Portals (by guessing the URL of them) knowing the URL of one Custom Portal.
