Hi,

For JSD, when an agent needs to create a bug for developers, the agent can use the 'create link issue'.

This will display a screen where the agent can select to which project they need to raise the issue for.

In our case, I used the JSD provided workflow, but extended it with another status that transition the request to an interim status where it's waiting for development task.

In this scenario, I'd like to trigger the 'create link issue' screen when transitioning to this status.

However, such screen doesn't exist (even though JSD will trigger it if used by clicking the 'create link issue') and I had to create it when the agent select 'require development fix'

I am not able to find the field that shows the existing projects we have in jira.

Can someone help?

Hey Gil,

I did some tests and checked existing bugs and here is what we have:

1. You were right - at the moment, unfortunately, it is not possible to operate with "Create Linked Issue" screen in the same way as with other screens.

We have a Suggestion opened around this scenario:
https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JSDCLOUD-3917

It's been there for quite some time.

If you go through comments of this suggestion, you could see some workarounds that can be done with JIRA Misc Workflow Extension add-on.

2. Another option that you might be interested in is to utilise Automation Rules.
Basically, you can configure Automation Rule that would create a linked ticket upon certain transition.
If this is something you consider, you can start to learn about Automation rules here:
https://confluence.atlassian.com/servicedeskcloud/automating-your-service-desk-732528900.html

Hope this helps!

@Gil I understand :)

I was trying to check more in details to see if you could have multiple Automation Rules and create issue for developers in different projects, depending on a state of JSD issue.
However it looks like it will only be possible to create issue in one certain project.

Say, if JSD issue was transitioned to status A, create a ticket in project B with the following parameters <...>.

Vasily
