I've tried restarting the links, and also the apps. What could be going on?
Well.. there are plenty possible reasons for application links to misbehave. If I look at the screenshots and assume that there is no communication problem between Confluence and Jira (otherwise they shouldn't show "connected" but rather show an error), then I would think that something happened that invalidated my OAuth token.
You should see some error messages in {jira home}/log/atlassian-jira.log that might pinpoint this a little further. Tail the log, try to open the issue, something should show up in the log.
Couple more things are often good to know:
- Do all users get the error, or only some? Can you create a new test user in both Jira/Confluence and try to load the page with it? This part would tell us whether your existing token is broken (or more users in general), and whether the link does actually work, practically speaking.
- Is the link for sure pointing to confluence? Can you open /rest/api/latest/issue/{ISSUEKEY}/remotelink and look at the link's data, is it correct? It should be com.atlassian.confluence, Wiki Page, and point to the correct app link ID. Compare it to the actual app link ID from application links page (it should be visible in the URL when editing it)
- Is this a new link, or has it been up for some time and just broke?
And in general, check through https://confluence.atlassian.com/applinks/troubleshoot-application-links-755338283.html although a lot of it is about http/s connectivity which seems to check out in your case. Still, there might be something useful in it.
Edit - I thought this was a remote link, not a JSM article!
In that case, ensure that you can access the KB Space in Confluence with your user - there is likely to be a permission related problem.
There are some conditions for this to work - all better documented here https://confluence.atlassian.com/servicemanagementserver/knowledge-base-settings-and-permissions-956713322.html

Hi Mariano,
I think you may need to make the configuration also in Jira.
I found this video that may help you: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yz9dlFSIsMo
