Ok so i initally set this up wrong. I was using a SAML SSO plugin to add all users to the jira-service-desk group. We have since realized that this is not nessecary. However when i go to remove them from the group, they are not members of it...
So how do i remove users that dont show up as members? Even if i go in through the user interface it won't let me remove them... I was having the SSO plugin auto add them to the group which may have caused this, but they dont appear to be members of the group? hidden members? some sort of nested permissions? anyone know
figured it out. using the "edit nested group members" i was able to find the subgroup and remove it with the leave button.
/secure/admin/user/EditNestedGroups!default.jspa
yay! everything seems to still be working for my test user so thats good
