We would like to remove the captcha from the Service Desk customer portal so our customers can submit tickets without the extra required step of identifying cars in a bunch of photos (or similar).
I found old documentation for restricting the captcha to only if it appears there is abuse: https://confluence.atlassian.com/adminjiraserver/configuring-jira-application-options-938847824.html
This documentation does not apply to the new Settings navigation.
Anyone know how to turn off the Captcha for Service Desk or at least restrict it to only abuse cases?
Hi Andy,
You might want to try the following approach: Disable CAPTCHA from the JIRA application database.
This will set number of authentication attempts to unlimited.
Please note this will be applied for the whole JIRA application.
I hope this helps!
Cheers,
Marko

I have the same question. The Captcha function on this makes this feature nearly un-usable for our application.

You submit a support ticket and they'll turn it off on your cloud's database instance.
