Need to remove a user from the email recipient list for a project through service desk. I checked under user management and made the user inactive and also went to Settings->Projects->Users& Roles and removed the user however the user's email is sill copied in any new issue emails coming in.

The user is part of the email list for any new issue created email list. Whenever a new ticket is created, the email sent out includes the user's email. However i did make sure the user is inactive and also removed from the notification schema for the project.

When you say they are copied are they added to the issue? Are they getting emails from Jira? Could it be that they are being added / copied through the email account?
