I’ve followed a guide to customize the customer satisfaction email in JSM Cloud:

However, when I click on a rating star(e.g., star 1) in the email, the redirect doesn't preselect the corresponding star on the web form. Is there a way to make the selected star reflect automatically on the form after the redirect?

The workaround article link you mention in your question applies to the Data Center version of JSM. It does not apply to cloud and I am not aware of an alternative method you could apply there.
